A landscape is so much more than just a pretty picture. Ask two artists to paint the same landscape and you end up with two totally different paintings. Once you have painted your first landscape, looking at the world around you takes on a whole different dimension.
The experience of painting a landscape is therefore more than just creating a pretty picture. Feel and interpret the landscape you are experiencing and paint it how it actually does look, instead of painting the landscape the way that you think it should look. These are the basics. In addition, drawing and painting techniques help to capture your reality as you are trully experiencing it.

Program
On Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning the class is reserved for experimenting with different painting and drawing techniques. We also pay attention to composition, use of color and creating accurate representations. Because there are maximum 7 people joining this course, everybody gets a lot of individual attention from the experienced teacher. So beginners as well as advanced will definitely enjoy this creative holiday.
On these days we will spend the afternoon in our garden and forest or on location. We will visit nearby picturesque villages, gardens and beautiful riverside spots. During these inspiring trips you can choose to paint or draw, go for a walk, swim or just enjoy one of the beautiful villages.

Wednesday is a day without any classes, so you can explore the area on your own or relax at La Forêt Souriante. We are more than happy to share our favourite things to do with you! For an easy going hike we recommend sturdy walking shoes.
We provide folding chairs and painting shelves for painting on location. At the end of the day we will discuss all of your results while enjoying refreshing freshly squeezed juices.
