Being creative
Do you like to join a creative workshop one morning, afternoon or day? At La Forêt Souriante we organize weekly creative courses or (partial) dayworkshops throughout the year in addition to holiday weeks. For anyone who lives near Najac or for anyone who is on a holiday near Najac.
As a guest in one of the romantic gîtes, participating in a creative workshop is a nice addition to all the other activities you can do during your relaxing holiday at La Forêt Souriante.
Courses and workshops that we regularly organise
At the moment, there are no local creative courses or workshops scheduled. However, if you are interested with a group of 4 or more participants, I would be happy to organise a course or workshop on request.
New courses and workshops will start again in February/March. These will include, among others, drawing and painting, linocut, and macramé.

Macramé
In the macramé workshops, you will learn a variety of knots and patterns, as well as how to design your own macramé pieces.
You can also learn how to create macramé jewellery, from delicate details to unique handmade designs.
Enjoy the rhythm of knotting and discover how accessible and relaxing macramé can be, while creating your own macramé piece.

Painting and drawing from life
In these workshops, you will learn to observe more closely and translate what you see onto paper. Attention is given to composition, proportion, light, and colour, helping you to develop confidence and accuracy in your work.
These sessions are suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to draw or paint and for anyonw who wants to deepen their skills and enjoy the process of learning through direct observation.
Linocut
In the linocut workshops, you will learn the basics of carving and work with different printing techniques. You will also be guided through the process of designing your own linocut prints, from first idea to final result.
These workshops offer the opportunity to experiment, refine your technique, and create unique handmade prints in a supportive learning environment.

Urban Sketching in Najac
In these urban sketching workshops, participants of all skill levels are welcome. You will explore techniques for drawing on location, capturing buildings, streets, and everyday scenes in your own style. Step by step, you can develop your observation skills, refine your technique, and gain confidence in sketching quickly and accurately.
